Enhancements Coming in September 2017 at Domain Cost Club

Time continues to fly, Domain Cost Club have been around since 2014 and they announced a number of enhancements recently.

Enhancements Coming in September 2017 at Domain Cost Club

These new enhancement which are clearly shown in the copy of an email I received from them recently. I share some of that content in my own words below.

These enhancements will make Domain Cost Club Membership more applicable and therefore more valuable in today’s fast moving world.

Of course, if you are not yet a Domain Cost Club Member, you could join Domain Cost Club today so that you can learn more. Join as a member and you can take advantage of some great domain name pricing.

Domain Cost Club Updates (Coming in September 2017)

Below is a quick summary of the Domain Cost Club updates coming soon to Domain Cost Club. As you may know, Domain Cost Club has been around since the middle of 2014.

They have listened to feedback and have decided that around now, September 2017, is a great time to take the club to the next level. To this end, they have some exciting changes coming.

Improve Domain Cost Club

Number 1 by appealing more to people who buy domains. If you buy a few or you buy some or you buy many, you need a membership type that is applicable to you. Therefore there will be more membership types to take this into account.

If you buy domains, and you want to save money, at least one of the Domain Cost Club Membership types will help you achieve this goal even after the cost of the Domain Cost Club Membership type is taken into account. 🙂

Do the math and you will see that it does make financial sense to buy a Domain Cost Club Membership.

Number 2 is by changing the referral system to better reward people directly for referring other people to Domain Cost Club.

The following table shows this in more detail, both for number 1 and number 2 above:

Membership Type Membership Price Referral Commission
Lite (Up to 5 Domains can be registered at-cost at Domain Cost Club) $9.99/year $1.00/year
Basic (Up to 19 Domains can be registered at-cost at Domain Cost Club) $29.99/year $5.00/year
Plus (Up to 49 Domains can be registered at-cost at Domain Cost Club) $49.99/year $10.00/year
Unlimited (Unlimited number of Domains can be registered at-cost at Domain Cost Club) $99.99/year $25.00/year

Commissions are paid on yearly renewals as well 🙂

Happy Days 🙂

**Update October 1st 2017**

These updates have now been applied.

Summary of Domain Cost Club September 2017 Updates

The most important unique selling point of Domain Cost Club has not changed.

Domain Cost Club Members can still purchase domain registrations, domain renewals, and domain transfer at-cost.

Domain Cost Club Members now have more membership options available.

These new membership options are now linked to the number of domains that the member expects to register or renew using their Domain Cost Club membership. Members can upgrade your membership option during the year if they find that they are purchasing or renewing more domains than expected. It can happen.

Update on March 29th 2021: A large percentage of my referrals start on the $9.99 per year Lite Membership package and actually upgrade to a higher tier of membership during the year when they find that they need the higher tier of membership. Happy Days. I like this approach, upgrading a membership tier when the member wants to. 🙂

Domain Cost Club changes within the Domain Cost Club Members ‘back office’ area

A number of changes have been applied to make this area even better and even easier to use. I personally liked this area and found it very easy to use before the September 2017 updates.

I did not think it was possible to improve it, however the software developers at Domain Cost Club have make it even better and even easier to use. That is so cool.

Account balances

If you buy many domains and want to save even more on your domain purchases using your Domain Cost Club membership, you can add funds to your account by sending a mailed check or bank wire.

This approach allows you to avoid paying small processing fees that need to be paid if you pay by Paypal or credit card. This is helpful if you buy many domains.

For me, I personally prefer to pay the small processing fee when paying by Paypal rather then pre-loading the account with funds, because I actually buy domain names on the fly. However this option is there should it be needed. 🙂

Update on March 29th 2021: At this stage I avoid paying this small processing fee by paying for my Domain Cost Club related purchases using my balance at Domain Cost Club. My referrals top up my balance at Domain Cost Club by purchasing or upgrading or renewing Domain Cost Club memberships. 🙂

Referral Program Update

If you like Domain Cost Club as I do, you can refer other people to them and if they buy Domain Cost Club Memberships using your referral link or they enter your username during registration, you make some money.

Of course, you do not have to take part in this referral program. The product (Domain Cost Club Membership) is the same in any case. There are different types of Domain Cost Club Membership, to cater for people who buy different numbers of domains. If you buy a few, maybe the Life Membership type is for you. If you buy a lot, maybe over 50 domains, maybe the Unlimited Membership type is for you. 🙂

An example regarding commissions

Say your referral buys an Unlimited Membership you will earn a $25.00 referral fee. You will continue to earn the referral commissions on subsequent renewals assuming of course that you yourself are still a member. An important point, is that say a member joined at a lower level and upgrades their membership level, you will earn again. My understanding is that you earn the difference at the time of the actual upgrade.

An important point regarding commissions

Another important point, is that you will earn the full commission rate based on what you refer assuming of course that you yourself are still a member. It does not matter what type of membership you actually have. If you have a Lite Membership and you refer an Unlimited Membership, you earn the full commission rate of $25 as specified in the associated table.

This is way unlike other businesses out there, those other businesses out there would “force” you to have the higher tier of membership to qualify for the extra commission. With Lite Domain Cost Club membership you earn the “full” commission rate when members buy membership using your referral link. Happy Days. 🙂 And you earn again when they renew (assuming you are still a member). More Happy Days. 🙂

OK, what do you do now?

You do some math and see does it make sense for you.
You do have to factor in the cost of Domain Cost Club membership, the number of domains you buy per year, the number of domains requiring private registration services and the associated affiliate arrangement. When I factor in those factors, for me, Domain Cost Club comes out on top. This may also be the case for you.

Here is the all important link so that you can learn more.

If you are a Domain Cost Club Member, you would enjoy At-Cost Domain pricing for the domains you purchase via Domain Cost Club. You would also have the ability to earn money on referrals. Now is a great time to become a Domain Cost Club Member. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

Domain Cost Club sells domain names and website hosting at really good prices to members. I use them. I joined as a member in late 2014.
All of my domains were transferred over to them by the middle of 2015. They are my preferred domain supplier since then. I wrote a detailed review which you will find here.
If you purchase domains, I recommend you visit Domain Cost Club and buy a membership. Then you can buy domains using very good pricing. You can also optionally buy hosting for the domains you have registered with Domain Cost Club.
To learn more about Domain Cost Club or to see if the domain name you want is still available, I recommend you visit Domain Cost Club. I may earn if you purchase a Domain Cost Club membership using this link.

  1. Hi David, the topic you chose is quite interesting. I have not read completely but I’ll read later when time permits, but in a glance what you’ve said with regards to joining Domain Cost Club really make sense. I believed DCC don’t do hosting, so premium member of WA as myself can host their domain/s at WA right?

I might have further queries too. But I think you have done a great job fullfilling the content of the topics.

    Best Regards,
    Joseph

    • Hi Joseph,

Many thanks for leaving your comments here.

You are correct, domain names are quite interesting. As well as domain names ending in dot com, dot net and so on, there are many more extensions available today.

Domain Cost Club sell domain names in over 300 domain name extensions, including dot com, dot xyz, dot shop, dot press and dot me.

Domain Cost Club have been around since the middle of 2014.

Now to answer your question: I believed DCC don’t do hosting, so premium member of WA as myself can host their domain/s at WA right?
Answer: Correct. You can host their domain/s at any hosting provider, including Wealthy Affiliate (WA). For the past few years, I have registered all of my domain name registrations/renewals/moved to Domain Cost Club. Also I host all of my domains at Wealthy Affiliate because they have such a great deal and great additional services not supplied by other web hosts.

Joseph, if you have further questions, be sure to ask them here and I will get back to you.

If anyone else has questions, be sure to ask them here and I will get back to you.

      Cheers,
      David

    • Hello again Joseph,

Some time back, Domain Cost Club added website hosting to their offerings. The prices and deals at Domain Cost Club in my opinion are way superior to the similar deals at Wealthy Affiliate.

In March 2021, I moved all of my hosting away from Wealthy Affiliate as I was no longer getting full value for my money. Wealthy Affiliate have membership packages consisting of many components that many members do not actually use.

For me in March 2021, I felt that the deals at Domain Cost Club were better deals.

      Cheers,
      David
