Here you are going to see different prices from different domain registrars to register or renew one .COM domain name with or without domain privacy services.
From time to time different domain sellers of .COM domain names may have pricing promotions for the first year of registration. Subsequent renewals costs are usually higher (if not always higher) when there is a pricing promotion for the first year of registration. Of course even without a pricing promotion, sometimes subsequent renewal costs are higher.

Domain Privacy Services Fee
Many domain sellers today still charge an annual fee for each domain name per year. Not all domain sellers charge for this service. For instance, if you have five .COM domains registered with HostGator requiring Domain Privacy Service, this will cost $74.75 extra per year for this service. With Domain Cost Club, this will cost $0.00 extra (yes a big fat zero) per year for this service.
Many domain sellers (if not them all) that charge for domain privacy services on a per domain name per year basis link that charged for domain privacy service to having the domain registered with them.
So if you register your domain name for 10 years and buy domain privacy services for 10 years from one of those domain sellers, and then decide 2 years down the road to move to another domain seller, you forfeit the outstanding 8 years for domain privacy services that you already paid for. That could be $119.60 gone ($14.95 multiply by 8).
Within the last five years or so, many domain sellers don’t charge for domain privacy services. This is especially the case with newer domain sellers and other domain sellers who are not necessary the “leading” names in the domain industry. Many older very well established players continue to charge for domain privacy services. I guess it must be a major income stream for them as many people registering domain names or renewing them seem to be quite happy to continue to pay them good money for this.
The yearly $0.18 ICANN fee per .COM domain
Some domain sellers charge a $0.18 ICANN fee per .COM domain name per year. Other domain sellers absorb this cost. When you look at the differences in price for the same thing, you can see why they can afford to do that.
For example, Domain Cost Club’s retail price of $15.00 vs Network Solutions $25.00 price to register a .COM domain name for one year is a huge difference.
And if domain privacy services are added, Domain Cost Club’s retail price of $15.00 vs Network Solutions $34.99 price to register a .COM domain name for one year with domain privacy services is an even bigger difference.
Lite Membership of Domain Cost Club
Domain Cost Club’s price of $17.84 (Lite membership of Domain Cost Club is $9.99 per year and Domain Cost Club’s member price is $7.85 per year) vs Network Solutions $34.99 price to register a .COM domain name for one year with domain privacy services is very impressive.
And with Lite Membership that person is entitled to purchase up to 5 domains at Domain Cost Club using their At-Cost Pricing model.
