Black Friday At GeneratePress

GeneratePress is the developer of the very popular GeneratePress WordPress Theme.

Black Friday At GeneratePress

Introduction

They have a free version which is pretty good, however I wanted some of the features of their premium theme so I immediately got the premium version shortly after I installed the free version. I purchased the premium version of the theme called GP Premium on January 31st 2019. That license key was valid from January 31st 2019 to January 31st 2020.

If I don’t extend my license, my websites using the premium version of the theme will not break. However I will not be entitled to updates and support.

In November 2019, I took advantage of their Black Friday 2019 offer to extend my existing license key by one year, that is until January 31st 2021.

In November 2020, I took advantage of their Black Friday 2020 offer to extend my existing license key by one year, that is until January 31st 2022.

Since I started to use this theme (on January 31st 2019), they have updated the associated theme and the associated plugin a number of times so I think it is worth the minor price to keep that active, especially with the very generous Black Friday discounts!

I have also asked their support department a few questions and they have always replied professionally and promptly. Tom, the founder and lead developer there once provided me with very clear code on how to sort out a problem that was doing my head in. Technically he did not have to.

I like to keep my WordPress websites using the latest version of WordPress itself, using the latest version of the current active WordPress Theme and using the latest version of all the WordPress Plugins I use. That is how I roll!

So far for me, their theme, their plugin, their upgrades and their support has been top notch so I return the favor and extend my license with them for another year! I have always expended my license by another year during their yearly Black Friday sale since I started using their theme on January 31st 2019.

I can use the premium version of this theme on all of my websites, as my license entitles me to use it on up to 500 websites.

Want to Learn More about My Story Using GeneratePress?

No problem.

As you may know, I have been using the premium version of this theme since January 31st 2019.

This website is currently using the premium version of this theme since at least the middle of 2019. All of my websites are currently using the premium version of this theme since the middle of 2019.

After I got my premium license on January 31st 2019, I installed it on one of my websites in order to learn about it and how to use its features that I am interested in. I was wanting to test it out before rolling it out to all of my websites.

By the middle of 2019, I had it installed, licensed, implemented, configured and in use in all of my websites.

I am learning how to do “neat little tricks” with it all the time. I was able to implement different right hand sidebars based either on the category that a post is in or for different tags I have used. This flexibility was not possible to implement in any of the WordPress Themes I used earlier however I can do this pretty easy using the premium version of the GeneratePress Theme.

I wrote a review about them which you can read here.

Hi, I'm David. I write articles such as this one. Enjoy!
