Using breadcrumbs on a website can make the whole user experience so much more enjoyable. On top of that, there is probably also a SEO boost. Anything that helps SEO is always welcome.
According to Wikipedia, “A breadcrumb or breadcrumb trail is a graphical control element frequently used as a navigational aid in user interfaces and on web pages. It allows users to keep track and maintain awareness of their locations within programs, documents, or websites.”
Google defines “A breadcrumb trail on a page indicates the page’s position in the site hierarchy, and it may help users understand and explore a site effectively. A user can navigate all the way up in the site hierarchy, one level at a time, by starting from the last breadcrumb in the breadcrumb trail.”
